In order to do more of it, it's expected that I self promote, create press kits, bio's, 8x10 photos, update my IMDB, network, get a manager, an agent, a publicist, and even get signed with a company.
YIKES!
here's a lil something I wrote about me and gasp:
"gasp" is Thomai Hatsios' narrative directorial debut. After years of directing documentary, experimental film, dance film, and industrials, Thomai sat down to write a narrative script that could be made inexpensively. Thomai pulled from her personal experience as a single mother determined to survive a sometimes debilitating illness. She asked herself, "What if I didn't have a car, certain skills that allow me to freelance, etc. " The resulting short film screenplay takes us on a journey of survival from 3:30am- 3:30pm with single mother Eva Piece and her daughter Imani.
My dear friend Benson helped me with a long and short bio:

Longer Bio:

A move from suburban Detroit to the grittier inner city "Cass Corridor" to found her own Avant Garde theater company when she was just 16 years old, put Ms. Hatsios into the limelight of Detroits' arts and entertainment establishment. The troupe of actors and performers would eventually become the multimedia performance tour de force, Metahara Presents. Early in the evolution of her production company, Thomai would, produce, direct and perform in shows at some of the finest performance spaces and nightclub venues in the Metro Detroit area. By the time Thomai was ready to relocate her company to New Orleans they had presented shows in Chicago, New York City, Toronto and Montreal.
1994 began an amazing period of growth as an artist and would lead Thomai to the conclusion that the only way to see her vision actualized was to gather it from the live theater and transport it to the film medium. Highlights of her tenure in New Orleans include a live performance that consisted of a cast of 45 that was presented on 3 city blocks, multiple performances and installations at the CAC (Contemporary Art Center & a tour of Europe and her trip to Morroco where she produced and directed a documentary. Seeing her work on film was her “eureka” moment!
Fueled by the desire to learn every aspect of film production, Thomai relocated with her son to Los Angeles where she began her education working in post as an Editor. Thomai moved to on set production working as a PA, Camera Operator, AD and PM; eventually stepping into her bliss as Director and Producer. She has produced and directed several projects with budgets ranging from $3,500 to $1.5M. Directing film utilizes Thomai's passion, dedication, skills, and creative talent to their fullest. She is currently an enthusiastic member of the development team at AMI, a company she is proud to be a part of, whose vision includes sharing transformational content widely.
